I’d imagine the group would pick up where the RCAF leaves off and cover planes and airships from between the wars. We could possibly put on the occasional barnstorming or wing walking display and maybe some “film” battles. Think “The Great Waldo Pepper”…
I know we don't have an airstrip yet, but maybe Mama Cree will let me form a temporary one by joining my two plots together in Algiers until an official one is ready ;-)
I took a short flight over New Toulouse in my seaplane (EB Aeronautica Savoia S-21) today and found it most enjoyable, and more to the point appropriate per period. More of it, I say!
I've founded a club under the name "Golden Age Pioneers". It's open to anyone who likes messing about in planes, but with emphasis on the 20's and 30's. I've been trying to think of some suitable events to hold in NT. With no runway, just taking off and landing seem pretty much a feat of barnstorming at the moment!
